after all the lonely sleepless nights
and all the broken memories i hold inside
through the heartaches and the tears I've cried
you ask me to open my heart once more
and let my wings unfold to soar
but this pain I hold so deep within

my wings need time to mend

for this darkness you left within my heart

has consumed my soul
