When The Calla Lillies Wither

When the calla lilies wither
my soul it seems to spill a tear
For their beauty halts the summer wind
and my breath does soon follow
Standing tall and gently proud
as if reaching for their manna
They show me kindly how to stay
and too, show me how to pray
They teach of grace and being
with a strength of years of knowing
And remind me of the purpose
of my spirits quest for love
As I walk away so slowly
in a memorable and simple silence
I know my life is truly blessed
I know my love is blessedly true
