What We Want

What we hurt we ought to heal or behave as a twit.
What we owe we ought to feel,
or what is a forfeit?

What we love we ought to share or hoard it in a vault.
What we hate we ought to bear,
or what is a default?

What we use we ought to earn or hit another cord.
What we do we ought to learn,
or what is a reward?

What we miss we ought to find or suffocate in mire.
What we see we ought to mind,
or what is a desire?

What we want we ought to lack or avoid the expense.
What we tout we ought to back,
or what is a defense?

What we teach we ought to live or toss it out the door.
What we seek we ought to give,
or what is image for?
