Weltschmerz

There comes a time for smug stuffed shirts
when the truth is known,
notwithstanding the weltschmerz, we all must airs disown.

There comes a loss of innocence
when the truth is known,
notwithstanding recompense, we all must still atone.

There comes a time for grave alerts
when the truth is known,
notwithstanding the weltschmerz, we all must die alone.

There comes a phase of countervails
when the truth is known,
notwithstanding fairy-tales, we all must czars dethrone.

There comes a time for hobble skirts
when the truth is known,
notwithstanding the weltschmerz, we all must wants postpone.

There comes a stage of history
when the truth is known,
notwithstanding mystery, we all must fate condone.

There comes a time for just deserts
when the truth is known,
notwithstanding the weltschmerz, we all must pay our loan.
