Welcome to my day.

Laughter and excitement of the neighborhood kids and the morning glow of the sun setting let me know that It was indeed a new day. As I opened my eyes and tossed to my left a tiny little face slept so peacefully despite the joy going on outside our window. As the bird sang and the sun peeked in the blinds he laid relaxed taking every bit of fresh air in one breath and seem to have had no care in the world of doing so. The scar on his top left forehead represented the many adventures kids will go on to explore the never ending world of life. Surrounding most of his fragile body the light blue sheets laid calmly on him as if they were connected in some peculiar way. As I give into my own temptation I decide to stay in bed. I glance over to take a glimpse at my other love who lays to the right of me, as I am startled to find him staring back at me with his big brown eyes. Propped up on his left little elbow and his head slightly tilted to the left he wore an over grown blue faded T-shirt that drowned his tiny little bones. As he smiles so proudly that he is awaken with me the silence that once filled the room was now broken with him saying "Good Morning Mommy", I’m hungry! So I welcomed my day!
