weight of the world

A believer with no religion.
I believe we are heading in the wrong direction.
Shoulders heavy with the weight of this burden, but we just keep polluting until the world stops turning.
until we see the light in our childrens eyes stop burning.
See the sky so black we can't breathe.
No where to go can't pack up and leave.
politicians for the people, thats a joke.
The rich get rich and the broke get broke.
No one can see the light through this haze and this smoke.

Drunk's, junkies, gangs, violence and sleaze.
Murderer's, Paedophile's, rapist's and priests.
Preaching that we must be forgiven before our souls can be released.
Differing religion's give the chance for hate to breed.
One wrong word and the media spreads that seed.
Turn people into drone's
So we sit in front of the idiot box and feed.
And all we do is sit back and wallow in greed.
Pollute the world, multiply and breed.

The weight of the world is on the shoulders of a few.

d-ory@hotmail.comIf I try to describe myself I can't cause I don't really know. I think I'm a bunch of different personalities in one body. I' am dark and a little depressed behind closed doors. But towards my friends I' am confident and happy. I struggle for acceptance from people but I do a great job of hiding it.Poetry is my release. Without it I could'nt function. But I think I was always meant to have it. I had never written a poem until I was 22 years old. I did'nt even know I could write a poem until someone special inspired me then shattered my heart. I believe this is why I write mostly dark, depressive poems. Because that's how it all started for me.My tag is weight of the world. Reason being I believe the weight of the world is on the shoulders of a few. And most of us are just standing around consuming and polluting waiting for others to clean up after us. I reflect some of this in my poetry.I live in Hobart, Australia and I' am 24 years old. Thanks for reading. Leave comments, your thoughts and I will return the favour.P.S There are certain words spelt differently in Australia so please keep this in mind when reviewing my poetry. And I 'am on facebook under rosco daw. E-mail at top of page.... more…
