We Are One

We've been together for
what seems to be a life time.
We know each others faults and
the little habits of daily routeen.
Knowing what is expected
Of each other gives us trust.
We feel each others disappointments.
The sounds are familiar when we are
sleeping and tossing in our bed.
We fit together like a puzzle piece
For comfort while we are asleep.
There are no inhibitions
we have nothing to hide.
We know each others body's
The taste, the smell,
where to touch.
We stayed together through hard times
And waited patiently for things to look up.
When we are together
