Waterfall

Up on the mountain is where i stand.
Set in stone, unlike the sand.
You wait at the bottom, for me to let go,
Of this energy pouring from my soul.
Receive this Waterfall, it's all i have.
Let it flow, feel your heart grab.
We built it up to let it fall,
From me to you, through this Waterfall.
I'll breathe once, and you'll breathe twice.
The water rushing, Cold as ice.
Calming Intensity is what we both feel.
Don't be afraid, for my love is real.
Give it your all, but don't think too much..
Look in my eyes and feel the downrush.
Connecting with me, your world stands still.
Now you know what it means to feel.
The Waterfall is what made it real.

Alanna LaCour

My name is Alanna, I am 19 years old and I live in Music City. I love writing, all forms of poetry, listening to music, anything that is deep rooted, and just about everything else in between. I started writing my own poetry around age 7, and started reading Emily Dickinson and other well known writers around that time. I am a poetic and sensitive soul, but I am very bold and outspoken. Everything is beautiful, if you just take the time to look! :) more…
