Waiting For The Sun to Shine Again

Laying here alone in the dark, I'm solemly praying,
for something out there to tell me that I'll be forgiven.
Down in this hole I lay cold & lonely, swiftly decaying,
waiting for the sun to shine upon me once again.

So many dreams lost in shadows, boundless they're all gone.
Oblivion I can see, for as far as I can it's just darkness.
Can anyone hear me as I silently wail below the garden lawn,
as I disintegrate in this hole turning into a fungus.

Just show me a sign, even a tiny glow, a shine of hope.
To see that light once again, just show me that it's not the end.
Praying for the sun to shine down on me again is how I cope,
awaiting for my time to come, to live again as I ascend.

For so long I've been here, just a box full of crusty bones,
so much time I thought about it all, but that's all that I can do.
Too much contemplation constantly questioning unknowns,
in perpetuity waiting for the sun to shine through.
