Veiled Mourning
Place your cold dead hand on my suicide,
feel the quiet ache of life-to-death drops.
Place your lips on my wasted existence,
kiss empty promises made with laughter.
Place your broken eyes on my rotting skin
while the fine dust blows silently away.
Place your love onto my fading shadow,
wash stains in memory with drunken tears.
I will watch you cry from wild clichéd thoughts,
spin quiet coloured dreams through veiled mourning.
