Vagrants
Life goes on it doesn't stop,
Scouring bins that's their shop,
A tasty morsel a bun or two,
These are seeked by the cities few,
It is staggering what these souls find,
Midst milling people they are defined,
See their movements furtive and discreet,
How they cover each busy street.
Raggedly seeking butts or food,
Surreptitiously selective wise and shrewd,
By building immunities they can survive,
Have the alibility to struggle and thrive.
Most don't harass or affect the crowd,
Carry no packs and walk proud,
How many years of filth and grime?
What a situation but the wearers design.
Men and women people of the street,
Some you see but rarely meet,
For many reasons you avoid their path,
Perhaps the greatest is the lack of a bath?
About this poem;-
Working within the city these vagrants are seen and
they normally don't harrass people but carry on as
mentioned in this poem, yet still walk proud.
