Andy Lyle 1951 (Londonderry)

Wrapped up in her own earthly plight
She traipses round on this dark night
Hoping in the shadows to find
Another fix to free her mind
From all the misery in her life
Lost loves, abuse and other strife
She is a product made by man
When he turned his back on the Son
Whose birth was there to set us free
From all of lifes old miseries
If perchance she finds a fix
Maybe turn a couple of tricks
In an alley quick and cold
Yet again her body's sold
For plastic packet small and white
To see her through another night
