Ups and Downs

The roller coaster ride of life
creates joy as well as strife.
With the warmth and joy in day's light,
there's also fear in the black of night.
We face many pitfalls along the way;
trials and tribulations here to stay.
We try our best to follow the right path,
ever mindful of the horned man's wrath.
When all around us seems most chaotic,
we ponder the elements most diabolic.
Too often the one who rings our bell,
is the spirit of evil, ruler of Hell.
Get up! Up from off the ground!
Celebrate God with a clear resound.
Replace the enticements of deviltry,
with the power of healing revelry.
He is the one to guide our way,
those who veer from Him will pay.
