Unwritten Memories

It started with a laugh
And was carried by a chance
The perfect example of unaligned love
Emotions found themselves shared on paper
Each page a chapter in the story we wrote

No matter how much the ink may fade
Our words will always remain
Especially written on my heart
Even if that's the only place

Our memories accompany the pictures
And they play like a movie in my mind
But there was so much more than the on and off that plagued us
Just being a part of each others life seemed to be enough

Those days seem absent
Hidden under the changes that have been made
The people that have entered our lives
The adventures and opportunities we embarked upon
And for me, well now its more about nostalgia

Nothing could ever change the desire to have you in my life
The love I once had still remains
Perhaps in different form but undeniably present
Ironically now is when the fear of losing you is greatest
Because our lives have taken different roads
And change is at it's highest peak

I hope you always follow your dreams
There is an unwavering belief you'll find success
And no matter where your journey may lead
Deep inside your heart I hope I'll always be
Because I want to forever remain in your life
No matter how that may be or what role I may play

And while you're still here, I want to take advantage of every opportunity
Making more memories to add to the story
Told by the unwritten chapters still lingering
I guess all I'm really trying to say is
I miss you...
