Until I Can Dream No More by Fred M. Lassonde

Until I Can Dream No More by Fred M. Lassonde

When I awoke this morning with tears streaming

You were on my mind and, as always, in my heart

My mind had been of you admirably dreaming

I never ever wanted from you to be apart

So in my dreams you are still my kind friend

Some say I have given up for I do sleep alot

Yet it keeps me close to you, a means to an end

Your laugh, your smile, your voice I never forgot

Only you kept me from giving up and I was on the mend

Never wanted anything more than to be your friend

No amount of this World and its goods could replace you

All I have left now is your memories and my dreams of you.

So until I pass on from this World, from this place

I will go on Dreaming of a friend I enjoyed and pray for

I will Dream of your laugh, your voice, your smiling face

Will pray for and love you until I can Dream no more.
