Unseen, unheard

Poem

     UNSEEN, UNHEARD

              K.R.BALAKRISHNAN

Oh ! Skylark !
Flying high and high
Singing your sweet songs
Where have you gone
Unseen and unheard
Forced by some harsh hurricanes ?

Constructing your imaginary nest
On a tall imaginary tree-branch
To sing out lullabies to your
Dear one's ears ?

Or for keeping your treasures
Of unsung songs ;
Your pain hidden
In the calmness of your loud sound !

On your flying away
Crows have taken
Your space in the heaven
And started entertainments.

Come from the cosmic dust
As an auspicious omen
To fly along and sing;
The snows have melted.
