Understanding Without Wisdom

Once long fore the astronomical lore
Myths of exploration and attainment
This space under our feet
In which we breathe
Had not a name
Twas just a place

Knowledge is to power
As time is a devourer
Pray! mystery incite
The curious mind
To break away and unwind
The ignorance of bliss

This human race doth keep its pace
In making manifest covetous tyranny
Upon throughout history
Not only the free
But the innocent, weak, and weary
