Two of a kind
Two of a kind we are indeed,
Plant an idea it grows like a seed,
Those without vision don't know what they've lost,
Such a pity and it has a heavy cost.
A healthy lifestyle something you can't buy,
Its truly amazing people should give it a try,
Start a discipline but take it slow,
Within only days you'll shine and glow.
The body reacts when given a chance,
People take notice giving you a second glance,
Set a goal the rewards are great,
Health and happiness they do equate!
Nothing is easy but you should try this,
A Concept 2 rower it certainly is bliss,
Controlling the weight keeping you well,
Listen to those rowing of this they'll tell.
You may vary what you want to do,
But its amazing how it'll benefit you,
One kilometer's the beginning you develop style,
Two or more that's when it's worthwhile.
Those who persevere how contented they be,
Pleased with results and what they see,
One hundred two and many kilometers more,
Out you row well beyond the shore.
Grab a map take a pen to paper,
Around the World how's that for a caper,
Destination doesn't matter motivations the thing,
There's a thrill that results can bring.
Now at last here's a remedy rare,
Join a gym and enjoy being there,
Hours there spent will improve your lot,
These men and women value what they've got!
About this poem;
After hospitalisation recovery takes time and
To get back to a decent level of fitness required
determination and effort. Tom and I had similar aims
and we strived for good health which is our basic aim
and we achieved it, this poem is how we did it.
