Truth vs. Lie

The truth is to be spoken,
It is a golden token,
Lies will only bring trouble,
You'll be stuck in a bubble.
If you do speak the truth,
Your heart will soothe,
And others will like you,
So you'll like them too.
Lies will harm you dearly,
The truth will harm you; barely,
And you will regret lying,
Since you will begin crying.
But the truth will give you all,
Your reputation will never fly,
Since lies will forever scar you,
Saying the truth is the best thing to do.

Ṃilαɛиα ૐ

My name is Milaena, I am a 15-year-old classical pianist, Steinway Junior Artist, singer, songwriter, writer, and visual artist from Los Angeles, California. I love swimming, making movies at home as well as new friends. I love the gothic and vintage styles & am so fortunate to be able to post my work for millions of poets to read & review. This is a great opportunity for everyone on here and gives people feedback on what they need to change in their work. I believe this is much more productive than constantly being on social networking websites since people have the chance to express their lives on poetry.com. more…
