Tree Of Life

The tree of life cannot be bound in time
Souls like fruit maturing until its prime
Each soul is free to blossom and flourish
As long as the soul is continually nourished

Some of the trees souls wilt, wither and die
What a waste the Master Gardner says with a sigh
Free will allows souls to choose their own fate
So easy to find is the pearly gate

Greed, hate and a plethera of bad traits
Can rot the fruit which then lies in state
A golden glow each soul might choose
Before it rots and eternity it does lose.
