Treasured Piggy's

Oh little piggy’s do not fret I see true beauty in all ten of you

Some oddly shaped but know your task appreciated in what you do

Round or pointed and yes second in line referred to as hammer head

I gently rub at the end of the day regardless of comments said

Groomed and painted in hopes to reveal how special you truly are

Little piggy on the end I recall the placement of a childhood scar

The ten of you hold up the one of me weight balanced or shaky

Perfect you’re not but treasured you are an intricate part of me

You have tip toed and stomped many roads and many more to come

Thumbs up to you of races in time coming in first or last you won

Here’s a sock of wool to embrace the who you are in this body of me

Look forward tonight unwrapping my piggies to rest in evenings sleep

Maylinda Jane McRae

I haved live in Georgia all my life. I have four beautiful children and five grandchildren,an amazing man in my life named Scott. God has also blessed me with many loving family members and friends. God has blessed me in so many ways and I want to share with others how amazing he is and the grace that he wants to bestow on others. I have been writing since I was a little girl, it has always helped me to express myself whether it was during a storm or a victory in my life. My prayer is that my poems will help someone who may be going through a storm or celebrate a vicotry in life. more…
