Travel.

Where shall I travel,
in my worn down shoes,
I love so many places,
it's hard to choose.
In my short life I've walked a long road,
stopped in many places.
Where the sun's brighter, grass is greener,
where there's more friendly places.
But if I should travel to China,
Germany or Spain,
Africa or Italy,
or to Egypt on a plane,
I know there'd be so much that I'd have to leave behind.
So when they ask me where I'm travelling,
I say 'right here's just fine.'
See- if I had unlimited money,
and a case already packed,
I guess I could leave for Paradise,
and say 'no looking back'.
But my heart is pretty settled here,
with the love of my life,
so I think I'll stay right here,
and one day become his wife.
Hawaii sounds so pretty,
and India sounds quite fine,
it'd be nice to see the bigger cities,
and feel the warmer climes,
but if I'm really honest,
if I really speak my mind,
then I'll throw away the atlas,
and stay home everytime

EMAIL ME AT sofisweetie@hotmail.com or add me on facebook for info on my other writing! https://www.facebook.com/SophieLarrrrrMarieMy name is Sophie Marie Roberts. I'm nearly 20 years old and I live in Wrexham, North Wales. I write poetry because it's one of the things that comes naturally. When I was a child I would try to write a diary like everyone else my age but I ended up with a book of poetry. I find it the easiest way to express what is happening in my mind too (which, in some cases, worries me- since my poetry is rather bizzare!) I don't have any diploma's, certificates or qualifications that tell me I should write but I write anyway. I hope people like my poetry- but I know it won't be everyone's cup of tea- but I hope it's yours. ALSO; PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALLTHOUGH I WROTE 'THIS POEM MEANS' UNDERNEATH MY POEMS- I'M MERELY STATING WHAT IT MEANT IN MY HEAD. PLEASE INTERPRET MY POETRY HOWEVER YOU WISH. http://www.booksie.com/mystery_and_crime/short_story/inksplodges/bitter-freedom/chapter/1 < one of my short stories. more…
