Trapped in the Middle

I think of all the times that people said, what a special little girl
And my heart just crumbles everytime I think of sayin goodbye to that world.
Good bye to barbies and climbin trees, building forts and my skinned up knees
But I have to go I can’t look back now, I just need some room please

Cuz Im trapped in the middle, Trapped in the middle of these two worlds.

Well theres no more denyin it, This change is comin fast
It’s hard to look to the future when My hearts still in the past.
Playin house or house for real, which one do I choose
Either way I go, a part of me I’m bound to lose.

Cuz Im trapped in the middle, Trapped in the middle of these two worlds.

I got the little girl she’s holding me, beggin me not to go
I got the other girl she’s pushin me telin me I gotta grow.

Cuz Im trapped in the middle, Trapped in the middle of these two worlds

Now I know it’s time to shed my skin, I gotta keep up with this pace
I need to say hello to all of the things in this brand new place
Hello to drivin and credit cards, Puppy love and broken hearts!

But I brought the little girl with me, She will always be a part.

No longer trapped in the middle , Trapped in the middle of these two worlds

Well the little girl she’s OK cuz I brought her along, and the older girl, she welcomed her, together we’re all strong

No longer trapped in the middle Trapped in the middle of,
Trapped in the middle of these two worlds
