Tragedies

I often wonder about life and humanity,
Think of people under duress and free,
Within my brain three words come to mind,
Trust and responsibility and accountability as defined.

What in particular causes much concern?
The known facts and what we learn,
Massive cruise ships trains and planes too,
Lives at stake depending on what controllers do.

Hundreds or thousands placed in one persons hands,
Daily it happens as each employer understands,
Now and then a disaster takes place,
Cause and effect is sometimes difficult to trace.

What and how the incident became fact,
Sadly too late before anyone could act,
Responsibility and accountability should come to the fore,
Inquiries and investigations can eliminate more!

When one reflects on disasters and things,
Deaths and sadness that any calamity brings,
Its through trust that we surrender our lives,

Expect with certainty we'll return to family and wives.

I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
