Tongue In Cheek

Let's slip on the blinders. Let's look straight ahead.
Let's be merit finders seeking joy instead.

Let's assume brave faces. Let's bloom triumphant.
Let's circle home bases like a sports savant.

Let's pretend the ostrich. Let's hide from all wrong.
Let's achieve fever pitch while getting along.

Let's parade disguises. Let's seem competent.
Let's give Nobel Prizes for each continent.

Let's adorn rose glasses. Let's look at sunshine.
Let's salute the masses with the finest wine.

Let's mimic a duck back. Let's act waterproof.
Let's accept an attack as comical spoof.

Let's forsake all reason. Let's avoid critique.
Let's deny high treason as a tongue in cheek.
