Today, somewhere in the past...

today, in desert past we're dancing
hands merging for the first time, blessing
so synchronized hearts beat in flow, soul-to-soul

frail beauty spinning hypnotized
about recall's occulting labyrinth
where 'us' remain forever
in part as truth, in part as myth

and every time it feels like raising past to life
unchain projections from memory's archive
where gentle turns connect the hearts of two
and so much said by silence...

cross body lead and step, adoration of the crowd
goodbye is seldom final, never said out loud
au revoir was tried, but quickly swept by lips
devoured whole along with wishes - sinking ships

your hand is in my hand and nothing matters

yourself is in my hands and that's what matters

incapable to trade this night for wonders of the world
forget eternity of soul!
just give us time to live our final dance

...

right this very moment, somewhere in the past
pirouettes link the hearts of two
and I do not yet realize
how much I truly love and will miss you...

p.s.
to all that cherish memories of love that was, I dedicate this work.
