To The Lady Wind, And Her Guests

While gently the wind blows,
And all through the courtyard
The many handsome guests bow,
All dressed in gay Autumn colours,
To pay the gentle lady, Wind,
Their homage...

Faster and faster
The invisible orchestra plays.
Ever swifter do they dance,
Swaying and turning.
A gracefull fall-time waltz.

Take no heed to the falling rain,
Soaking the guests below.
They refuse to stop,
But seem as one,
To gain speed and dance ever more.

One by one
The guests retire.
Falling gently down to earth.
