To Follow

Awaken they, of come what may
Bright hopes left from tomorrow
And battle ye the sisters three
And see what blood will follow
When diamonds crash and lightening flash
To open pearls of sorrow
For yesterday would gladly pay
The price of blood to follow
In deepest dark, to fall apart
It bruises to the marrow
Why by the light you gain the sight
Of all the blood to follow
Could one obtain the price of pain
Of love one had to borrow
While still they stare at nothing there
And ponder blood to follow
But I believe that one would leave
From grace and bear all sorrow
So we that quest may find our rest
Because of the blood that followed
