To Dad

What have i done
that you should feel
apathy as to my existence
and what i have come to be
what could i have said before
i could speak as i lie in your
arms innocent and meek to cause
you to abandon me as i watched
you close the door to walk out
of my life and vanish forever
more since then i have searched,
felt such an emptiness inside
as i lie awake at night tear
fall from my eyes and i scream
into the heavens. What is wrong with
me?and i look into the mirror
my reflection look back at me
suddenly i realize with all
of my flaws i posess a heart
filled with the greatest gift of all
