winter steps out, cold and haunting
she stirs old memories,
calling voice, a tune enchanting

THE CALENDAR A BOARD,
WHERE CHESS IS PLAYED UPON EACH BLOCK
WITH KING AND KNIGHT AND SWORD.

the pines with fragrant fur,
the woods with stainless lily queens
