Time for change

Woke up this morning and realized
it was time to get outside and enjoy life
Get my face out of the computer
which felt like, twenty- four- seven
Seem's like the days and hours pass
when your screen becomes the only thing you see
Time to walk the dogs, get some air in my lungs
Feel the breeze on my face
get in touch with the human race
Wake up before the sun
drink my coffee all alone
Get my shoes, run to mom's have a laugh
Get back home take a nap
Wake up in an hour watch some TV
Get a shopping list for groceries
Run out to store beat the afternoon traffic
Passing lane just ahead won't reek havoc
 Oop's turning right instead
Not thinking straight where's my head...
Get to the checkout and what do you know...
a price check on apples makes the line slow
I decide not to be in such a hurry
After all my heads out of the computer
So the rest of the evening I think about
tomorrow morning
And how it will start all over without a worry

Yvonne Sensing

I've been writing since I was a kid...I enjoy putting thoughts onto paper it's like clearing out my mind. I'm not saying I'm good, but I try. Still I write, but the thoughts in my head get jumbled and it all comes out wrong. I know what I want to say, I hope it comes out that way. Anyway, I still write maybe to leave a little piece of me behind. Not here to cause trouble or be a hero. I am a kind person with a big heart and I only do what makes me feel good. Poetry happens to make me very happy and joyful. Sharing my most inner thoughts makes me a target it seems, with folks that don't like me. I assure I am not a hater, but I will stand up for myself for what's right and true. This site has made me feel like were all family and here for each other not a place to bicker and fight among us, but to enjoy each others work with respect and love. Please understand I am not here to cause problems, I am here for the same reasons you are. more…
