tickle the ivories

Every time your hands caressed the piano keys
I imagined my body was the ivory
The notes come together
In perfect harmony
In replication of how our bodies fit tightly

The notes struck a cord in my soul
As you played
I can hear your profession of love
With each stanza
Then you unlatched the hook on your voicebox
And love escaped your mouth

My eyes closed and I licked my lips
I swayed to the melody
And ran my hands over my hips
I didn't even realize the music stopped
My breath paused with it
As you continued singing softly in my ear
My body took the place of the piano
And I got my wish

my feet graze the floor
As you swept me off my feet
And led me into bedroom

Hopefully I'm not dreaming
About this night filled with bliss
My lips searched for yours
And found them in the darkness

Abruptly I look around
Everyones standing
Applauding your performance
And begging for an encore

An encore alright
I need so much more
I must have stood there for too long
The only one left standing on the floor

I tightened my trench
And headed towards the door

Almost there
I turned back
For a glimpse once more

Maybe in another lifetime you'll indulge in me like never before

and I can be your ivory.....
