Three Wishes

5:55 in the morning
outside it was pouring
i see the mists in the distance
and i listen
to the raindrops falling on my window
thinking if only life was just that simple
sitting by the fireplace
feeling tired and afraid
of where my life is and where its going
desperately hoping
that this isn't it and that it gets better
thinking of all the lies and the ties that i've severed
feeling so used and abused
in every way everyday
i wish i could make all this pain go away
i wish i wouldn't feel this way the second that i wake
i wish i could forgive you but i'm afraid
