This Short Little Life

Marty Couture

This short little life
filled with so much strife.
A little voice inside us
tells us what is dear.
What are the demons
that we should fear.
Have we stayed true
do you think?
If we get taken in a blink.
Or does that thought
make your heart sink?
That little voice inside us all,
do not take it as something small.
For in the end it will judge us all.
