This is the way it is

My plan tonight was simply to rate,
I had no drive to participate,
Nothing on my mind I needed to express,
Then came the issue I wish to address,
This system for submissions is totally broken,
By rating to submit your ratings are token,
There is nothing honest in 5 star crap,
Many so scattered they should come with a map,
So when rating a poem some thought is required,
Don't call a poem about gum " totally inspired".
You don't have to be mean for the truth to be heard,
But there are times when you must call a turd a turd.
