There's The Evidence!

There’s the evidence!
Right in front of your face!
Do you not taste it in-between
the first and the after,
in the subtle lull between responses?
Can it not be heard in the jumble
of music just before you understand
exactly what is being said?
In the split second before a hand touches
you, a wind’s breath away from contact,
can’t you feel it?
It’s truly there.

In the shadows of your peripheral vision
when you almost see things sneaking by,
Can’t you see its proof?
What about when the smell of memory
springs into your mind
and brings back everything you should remember?
It is with you then.
With every beat of your heart, it chases,
the very essence of Creation,
the strength and wisdom wrapped
around you in a fatherly blanket
of godliness.
