Why
Why isn't there
someone who will be there
Whenever we have a special
thought to share
And
And listen to
what's on our minds
And be there all times
to hold us when we cry

There's got to be a way
to brighten darkened days
And for this I will pray
For you and for me
Then maybe we could
get through the things we should
Things we never would
even dream of
