There's a Difference

There's a difference between rain and dew,
How they reflect and beckon you,
Dewdrops are fine delicate and rare,
Raindrops magnify you know they're there.
Like a diamond the former is sweet,
Smaller by far but exceptional and neat,
Sparkling to infinity they capture the sun,
Glistening and shimmering each and everyone.
Raindrops cling and cover more space,
Silver to illuminate the body and face,
Lightens the shadows vibrates on a leaf,
Clings on tenaciously longer than brief.
Absorbed by the sun shaken by the wind,
Slowly but steadily dissipated and thinned,
Contrasting with green or traces of gold,
Like precious metals these you can't hold.
Fantastic in the morning lovely to see,
Enlightening the day no cost but free,
Frequently these sights I welcome and love,
Arriving uninvited and directed from above.

I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
