The Wood Frog

Warmed to a touch

Calming serene air in a kiss
relinquished to serenade me
extravagantly again

Amends to winds' upon lips

The orchards of conscious
to whisper nothings'
in waves unreal and steal me away

Must I obey the natural abilities
of nature to snatch the wings
right from under me?

I humbly submit

May the tumbling begin
and win me back in thy arms
so there I therefore
shall die there

A new, new born lion king cub
in love with a queen forever more

The eternities turning these
clocks to stop time only to find
I've been waiting all along
alone and cold until
warmed when palms are placed
to erase this freeze

Hibernated away the day that we meet
and she kisses me into a prince
melting ice in imprints to live again.
