The Wanting Game
A day where the sun would make my world brighter,
A time that my sadness would somehow feel lighter.
A moment to spend without fighting off tears,
A memory that's worthy of so many years.
A dream to remember, a wish to come true,
A month to relax without any bills due.
A genuine smile from ear to ear,
A family to love without all the fear.
A heart full of kindness and treasured joys,
A gift of silence without all the noise.
A past to forget, along with a name,
A single, solitary second without all the pain.
A woman who desperately seeks to be free,
A guilt for whom I've still yet to be.
A voice to be heard for all I proclaim,
A Prayer just to end this wanting game.
