The Wandering Soldier

Tell me true, when will you leave
Tell me lies, will you stay
Does final and fate
Have a say
Or am I too late
Or must I forever wait
Tell me wandering soldier
With eyes of silky green
Tell me what have you seen
To who are you fighting for
Your mother, or a lover
To walk in place as your brother
Given up have I, to change mind
Longing words I have left behind
Wander yet away from yourself
Wandering soldier why leave
Slipping silently so soon
My flame will waver and die
At least soldier can you cry
Knowing this could be our last
Goodbye?

I believe that there is a time for everything and some things can be expressed through poetry I come from a different family and things are different everywhere. I believe poems can be gateways into the mind, what we cannot say but wish to say it anyway so badly and so words change but the meaning will forever stay the same.I write as my hands allow me, word after word.
