The Violence Must Stop

I am the Reverend a preacher of the blues
And I am here to speak to you
About how good life could be
If we could just get rid of this insanity
Put down your guns put down your knives
And stop taking others people's lives
Listen to these words I speak to you
Dammit, we all know that they are true
Open your ears open your eyes
Look beyond all those lies
There are people everywhere
In every country who really do care
Stop all this madness stop all this hate
So one day soon we can close
This angered gate
Something must be done in this world
For every little boy and every little girl
