The Vaughan Song

There comes a time in everyone's life
When they must call it an end
It's a shame the best are taken first
And the rest get to do it again
I remember the time in Alpine Valley
We came to hear them play
There was Robert and Erick
And Stevie Ray Vaughan
That went on that day
Stevie was at the end of his tour
And was going home for a stay
When the chopper he was on had some trouble
And went down that day
Well I met him just a month before
In St Paul Minnesota
He smiled at me and shook my hand
Before he had to go
What was the cause of the crash that day
Dose anyone really know
You're soul will live forever
You given so much of it
