The Spider's Web

The spider's web is woven,
a shinning, sticky thread of lies;
inviting prey into it's coven,
while hidden, the spider spies.

Lies, strung together so well,
exposed during the light of day;
but in darkness, does the spider dwell,
waiting to suck upon it's prey.

In darkness the web is hidden,
the spider lies in wait to feed;
a safe passage now forbidden,
to fulfill the spider's glutinous need.

The fatal flaw, you should see,
the spider feeds on smaller prey;
quite a bit smaller than a bee,
the web of lies is strong you say.

But larger prey rips holes in the web,
and the spider's worried work is paid;
I am much larger, you see, in the ebb,
flowing along, and truth is my RAID!
