The Souls Of Those Forgotten

i believe
there is beauty
in ugliness
there is nothingness
and everything all at once
there's a heart shaped holiday
hanging on the corner of every month
are there hidden meanings in all i say
or am i just a ruthless pirate on the run
is there an absolute?
or is it all disorder?
are we the wolves
or the sheep heading straight to the slaughter
can we make like water
flow, freeze, and precipitate
oh i just can't wait to anticipate
all the feelings that go through my mind
can i press pause fast forward and rewind
or is that up to what my destiny desires
maybe we're all blood thirsty vampires
out there searching for something fresh
cause we're all that much closer to death
i don't think there is an antidote
but i believe in the karma code
tear out the heart from the flesh thats rotten
and bury the souls of those forgotten
