the soldiers poem

The bullets bite is stinging,
The open wound bleeding,
But soul intact, the soldier stands,
Fighting on for more.

Bloody knives and jagged lines,
Broken glass and bone,
Heart torn open, pain unspoken.
We fight to save our own.
