The Sky To My Rain

Surely as the stars lace the night Texas sky
My sentiments in your regard shall not die

As the salt to the sea; the grass to the plain
To your wide open sky, I can be the rain.

A summer field, in all its splendid glory
Can't rival the beauty of your soul's story

There isn't a thing about you that fails to meet
My picture of perfection; purity so sweet

All the wonder that you hold would never fail
To keep me dreaming of lifting more of your veil

There's nothing about you that I cannot love
Darling, you're everything I could ever dream of.

Calvin Morrow is an alias. All my poetry is about one single woman. I really like reviews so I can perfect it. Maybe one day she'll know... more…
