The Sea Spider

The spider sat by the sea;
And wondered what could be.
If only she had a boat;
Then away she would float.

Carefree, drifting with ease;
spinning webs in the breeze.
When the boat came to rest;
She would build a nest.

She would lay her young;
And sail off into the sun.
She slowly closed her eyes;
Then laid down and died.

Along came a wave;
That took her to her grave.
Now she is free;
And no spider sits by the sea.
