The Price of Freedom Just Got Higher

Robert Jeffrey 1977 (California)

On January 31, 2004,
The price of freedom just got higher.
When a bomb went off in an Army convoy,
The price of freedom just got higher.
Two men and a woman paid the price,
Because the cost of freedom just got higher.
We signed our names and took an oath,
Because we know,
The price of freedom just got higher.
We wear this uniform, and answer the call,
'Cause the price of freedom just got higher.
So when you go to bed each and every night,
Remember those who have paid the price,
Because the price of your freedom just got
higher.
