The Price

In rambling thoughts and restless dreams
I lov'd and lost all but one it seams.
For in the end you cannot take
A single friend for pity sake.

In the dark, no light can you see.
No sense of self, you can't be free.
You lose yourself and you can't come back.
Your time is up, get used to the black.

You tossed your dice. Guess what? You lost.
If you think thats bad, just wait for the boss.
But fear not my dear, for there is indeed hope.
Just follow my voice, and I'll throw you a rope.

I'll be your light at the end, but not of the tunnel.
I'll pour love into your soul, like drink through a funnel.
What I tell you is true, my words will uplift.
For who else can you trust, when the bullet you've bit?

Your salvation at hand and freedom awaits,
Ignore the foul seething and anger of fate.
But before you can leave, the price must be paid.
The fee is quite small, but the deal must be made.

In rambling thoughts and restless dreams
I lov'd and lost all but two it seems.
For in the end you should never mistake
Truth in the words of a soul-thieving snake.
